Are You Acting Out of Fear?

Have you ever wondered why you're acting the way you are in a certain situation?

I've done it, and I'm not pleased about it.

Our parents, schools, friends, and relatives shape us as youngsters. Because we were taught "fear," we changed, sometimes for the worse.

The fear of failing.

Fear of being judged.

Authority phobia.

Fear of innocuous insects.

Fear of innocuous creatures.

Fear of becoming soiled.

Fear of the "wrong" people.

Even the worry of missing out on Santa's present because you were "naughty."

The list could go on and on.

The majority of the time, what we were taught makes no sense. This taught dread adds no value to your life. Most of the time, it creates undue tension and stress.

Fear of being judged and failing are at the top of my list. Because I'm frightened, I seek perfection.

However, this is not a viable way of life.

Begin by thinking on your behavior and being aware of your motivations.
